Mechanical Engineering News Recent Trends in Manufacturing

A one day Guest lecture programme on “Recent trends in Manufacturing” was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 09.01.10. The Programme was taken by Dr. PL.K. Palaniappan, an eminent professor from Thiagarajar college of Engineering, Madurai. In his presentation he emphasised the following:
i) Recent Trends in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM)
ii) Recent Trends in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM)
iii) Recent Trends in Lean Manufacturing and
iv) Recent Trends in Agile Manufacturing.
All the students of Mechanical Engineering have attended the Programme.
