A national Level technical Symposium - INTELECTIUM  2011 was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering  on 24 th March 2011. 

Er. V.APPAVU SAMRAJ , Deputy Chief Inspector of Factories, Madurai  was the Chief Guest for the Symposium.

The Inaugural  function started with Tamil thai Valthu at 9.30 AM,and  followed by the Welcome Address by the Head of the Department , Prof. S.ABDUL KARIM SAIT.

The Presidential Address was delivered by the Principal , Dr.S.KATHIRRVELU. In his address he has emphasized the importance of conducting the symposium.

The Chief Guest Er.V.APPAVU SAMRAJ  in his address stressed the students to update their technical knowledge in recent trends by interacting with the Industries  which will be helpful for them in future.

Finally the Vote of Thanks was proposed by M.IYYAPPAN , III year Mechanical Engineering.

Around 30 Participants from various college attended the symposium

In the Symposium  the following events were conducted namely POSTER PRESENTATION, QUIZ TECH, WHO AM I? and  MIND BLOW.

The Valedictory Function was started by 3.30PM. Mr.WEE BOON KUANG , Manager , Machinery Engineering, Murata Electronics Singapore Pvt.Ltd, Singapore was the  Chief Guest  and Distributed the prizes to the winners.

On 25/03/2011 the PROJECT DISPLAY contest was conducted for all the Departments.

I Prize was bagged by Samad Arbaz Anjum, M.Jagatheesh, Ganesh Babu of Sri Jayaram Engineering College and the II Prixe was bagged By E.Suresh And P.Praveen Kumar of the Same college.
