 IPAA Madurai Divsion Football tournament for emn was held between 24 Dec to 25 Dec 2011 at Alagappa polytechnic College, Karaikudi. VICKRAM Polytechnic college men 's team were victorious.,beating the Annamalai polytechnic 5:4 in the final match and secured first place in IPAA Inter polytechnic Football tournament and broke the past record of Annamalai polytechnic college for 25 years. Our college football team played some sublime football to emerge as champions of the district, the tournament was organised by Sivagangai District Football Association.
Our college team beat Alagappa Chettiar College of Physical Education team in a thrilling semifinal match, Vickramce won 5-4 in the semifinals.
We went on to beat Rajas College Sivagangai 1-0 in the finals, Now we have qualified to play against all other district winners.
