Theorem :

          Life consists of both happiness and sadness .

To prove :

          Life    = ½ happiness + ½ sadness

Solution :

          Consider,

          Life + joy              =        Happiness -1

          Life - joy               =        Sadness     -2

Adding Equation 1 & 2 :

          2 Life          =        Happiness + Sadness

             Life          =        Happiness + Sadness

                                                    2

          Life              =       ½ Happiness + ½ Sadness

Hence the theorem is proved.
